The U9 FC United Crush girls had a tremendous weekend at the USA Cup.  They give us all plenty to cheer for and admire in the way they played and handled the challenges.  The girls came away with 2 wins, 1 tie, and 1 loss.  The results were great, but more so way the way you played.. with discipline, desire and heart.  OUTSTANDING performance... can't wait to see the pictures!

They tied a big and physical team from Eden Prairie Soccer Club 2-2.  The girls were down, but came back strong to pull the game even and the game ended in a tie.  Then, in what started out as a very even game, the girls completely turned it on to dominate a team from Blaine soccer Club 6-0. Word is, that was Blaine's first loss of the season.  In their third game, they played a very fast team from the Dakotas. The game went back and forth and we were up 3-2 in the second half.  Dakota then tied it late in the game and it stayed that way until 3 minutes to go.  We gave up 2 goals in the waning moments of the game.  The Crush bounced back and showed up to play with a fury on their final game on Sunday.  They faced a select/traveling team from Wings Soccer Club and totally dominated the game with efficient passing and changes in their attack.  It was a truly spectacular performance from a spectator standpoint for a U9 girls game... and very gratifying from a coaching perspective! I am very proud of you.  You've improved tremendously and performed so well this year.  What a terrific way to close it out at the USA Cup.  Way to go FC United Crush.. looking forward to an eventful fall 2007.  I'm certain that you earned your right to remain in the Elite Pool for summer 2008.
